Day 4: Left the Grand Canyon and drove to Monument Valley. Splurged and stayed at an amazing cabin overlooking the valley. Took a self guided tour around the valley and watch the most breath taking sun set ever.

Hello! My name is Sonja McGill. I am a photographer in the Cincinnati area, travelholic, and apparently now a blogger. I love to share my story. My travel stories, my story struggling with depression and my own story. I am hoping this will be a space of inspiration and motivation to live life to the fullest.

I spent 2 nights with a friend in the Dolly Sods Wilderness. When we first started, there was a sign that said “do not attempt to hike if you don’t know how to read a map and use a compass” and boy were they right! We became experts in reading maps and elevation changes! We went through snow, freezing rain, hail, bogs, unmarked trails and three days of wet feet! And I would do it again in a heartbeat! It is nice to know that I can be comfortable when I am uncomfortable. #dollysods #backpacking

Baseball season is starting soon!!! I can’t wait. Finn is getting ready for the season with some hitting practices.
